Our Collaborations

BiblioPRO is a free-access on-line library of Spanish Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) instruments.

The library provides information on more than 1,600 PROs and is frequently updated.

BiblioPRO allows direct access to basic information about each instrument (8 instrument characteristics) and for many of them, additional documentation (manual, description, questionnaire and / or bibliography) is included as well. In addition, the sublicense of use for about 300 instruments can be requested on-line (www.bibliopro.org).

The mission of BiblioPRO is to promote the adequate use of Patient Perceived Outcome instruments in Spanish by disseminating detailed on-line information, producing scientific PRO evaluations, and offering specialized training. The community of BiblioPRO users includes researchers, clinicians, and health managers, health-related companies, patients, and the general public.

BiblioPRO is a joint project between IMIM-Hospital del Mar and CIBER of Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP).

CDISC is a 501(c)(3) global nonprofit charitable organization that creates clarity in clinical research by convening a global community to develop and advance data standards of the highest quality. Specifically, CDISC develops tabulation and analysis QRS supplements that provide information on how to structure data in a standard format for public domain and copyright-approved instruments. Please visit the CDISC website for a list of all QRS supplements.

Required by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) and adopted by the world’s leading research organizations, CDISC standards enable the accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of data. With the help of CDISC standards, the entire research community can maximize the value of data for more efficient and meaningful research that has invaluable impact on global health.

COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments

COSMIN is an initiative of an international multidisciplinary team of researchers with a background in epidemiology, psychometrics, medicine, qualitative research, and health care, who have expertise in the development and evaluation of outcome measurement instruments.

The mission of COSMIN is to improve the selection of outcome measurement instruments of health outcomes by developing and encouraging the use of transparent methodology and practical tools for selecting the most suitable outcome measurement instrument in research and clinical practice.

One of the tools provided by COSMIN, in collaboration with MAPI Research Trust and ZUYD University of Applied Sciences (Heerlen, the Netherlands), is the COSMIN database of systematic reviews of outcome measurement instruments. The reviews included in this database describe and compare the quality (i.e. the measurement properties) of all outcome measurement instruments measuring a specific construct. The database can easily be searched to find reviews in which the instrument of your interest is included.
