Basic description

Published in 2010, for the first development, then in 2013 for the first actual scales.

The full list of scales is presented in the 'Review Copy' section.

There are 4 ‘categories’ or 'core families' of scales:

  • Quality of Life Scales (10 scales)
  • Appearance Scales (23 scales)
  • Adverse Effect Checklists (6 scales)

The FACE-Q is made of more than 40 independently functioning scales and checklists. Several new scales are under development.

  • FACE-Q module for facial paralysis
  • EAR-Q for ear conditions, eg prominent ears, microtia
