Basic description

McGill Pain Questionnaire (MPQ) Standard was developed in 1971
The MPQ Short-Form was developed in 1984 and revised in 2009 (see SF-MPQ-2)

To provide quantitative measures of clinical pain that would capture its sensory, affective and other qualitative components, and allow statistical analysis of data collected during clinical research and practice
